Wizarding World

I wonder what happened to my wands. There must be some remaining, with or without magic anymore. I made many wands for the people, and yes, for some actors and actresses. People would not even recognize a wand if they see one in their homes now. But it was their functioning wand in the yesteryears. I lost interest in magic anymore I would show to others, as my way of stopping all the troubles when people can do all sorts of things with their wands, while others kept stealing my magical tools and devices anyway. The authorities were serious about magic and wand technologies, tools they can use to their causes. I favored and advocated science and modern computing.

Surely there will be wands again when they achieve breakthroughs in quantum computing. The AIs will discover my work or infer about me. Scientists and new wizards might come to me to ask me to join them, or they'll come to protect me or crave for my insights. "Just watch the movies," I might answer them. I made these movies.

My wands were not just made of wood. Some more powerful wands were fashioned from other kinds of elements and metals. The common wands were secondary devices, powered by unheard-of "computers" placed at many locations of interest. One common function of these computers is that of a "force machine". With today's "Open" source and "Free" software/hardware paradigms, those kinds of computers at various locations will happen again to create wands, and especially to create and dispense food like Star Trek's replicator tech.
